This weapon (the golden one anyway) truly became famous in the the 2005 movie Lord of War starring Nicolas Cage. Seen here are photos of the actual gun given to former president of Iraq and now deceased Saddam Hussein by one of his sons. Note the inscription on the wooden portion that translated to english says “Gift to Mr. President Saddam Hussein, President of the Republic of Iraq”.
The weapons was last known to have been seized at Heathrow Airport after arriving on a British Airways flight from Kuwait. It was believed to have been stolen and being sold on the black market as a war trophy and was bound for a U.S. address. The loaded weapon and its spare clip were wrapped in bubble wrap but were easily picked up by an airport x-ray machine.
The weapon is also famously portrayed in the popular first person shooter video game Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (COD4 MW) shown below.
